What happens
Når boblene brister er en norsk dokumentarfilm fra 2012 regissert av Hans Petter Moland. Manus var skrevet av Petter Skavlan. Dette var Molands debut som dokumentarfilmskaper. I filmen undersøker Moland hvordan den globale finanskrisen kunne oppstå. Han tar utgangspunkt i Vik kommune i Sogn og Fjordane, som var en av de norske kommunene som ble hardest rammet av den såkalte Terra-skandalen. Sammen med Viks tidligere ordfører og kommunerevisor legger han ut på en ekspedisjon for å forstå mer av det som skjedde da kommunen tapte millionbeløp. Reisen fører dem helt til Detroit i USA, som også er en kommune med store økonomiske problemer. Filmen inneholder også intervjuer med flere ledende økonomer, blant andre nobelprisvinneren Joseph E.
