A documentary film from 1988 follows the host Yehoram Gaon on a journey tracing the paths of Jews expelled from Spain and Portugal. It visits historical sites in Toledo, Cordoba, Amsterdam, Venice, Sarajevo, Thessaloniki, and Istanbul, then moves to Auschwitz and Birkenau, ending in Tiberias, Safed, and Jerusalem. Along the way, Gaon sings Spanish romances and sacred songs in the Ladino language.

מטולדו לירושלים הוא סרט טלוויזיה תעודי ישראלי שביים שמואל אימברמן ויצא לאקרנים בשנת 1988. מסע תיעודי בהובלת יהורם גאון, העוקב אחר נתיבי נדודיהם של מגורשי ספרד ופורטוגל. הסרט משלב צילומים מאתרים היסטוריים מרכזיים עם עיסוק בתולדות יהדות ספרד, במסורותיה ובמורשת התרבותית והרוחנית שלה. לאורך המסע מבוצעות רומנסות ספרדיות ושירי קודש בביצועו של יהורם גאון, בשפת הג׳ודיאו-אספניול (לאדינו), לשונם ההיסטורית של יהודי ספרד. המסע נפתח בעיר טולדו שבספרד, וממשיך דרך מוקדים מרכזיים בפזורה הספרדית, בהם קורדובה, אמסטרדם וונציה, וכן סרייבו, סלוניקי ואיסטנבול. בהמשך עובר הסרט גם במחנות ההשמדה אושוויץ ובירקנאו, ומסתיים בארץ ישראל בטבריה, בצפת ובירושלים, שבה נסגר מעגל הנדודים ההיסטורי.
