A Field in England is a 2014 British historical psychological horror film directed by Ben Wheatley and written by Amy Jump, a husband-and-wife team who also co-edited the film. Shot in black and white and set during the mid-17th-century English Civil War, it was simultaneously released on 5 July 2014 on multiple platforms including cinemas, home media, and video on demand.
