We Come as Friends is a 2014 Austrian-French documentary film written, directed and produced by Hubert Sauper. The film premiered in-competition in the World Cinema Documentary Competition at 2014 Sundance Film Festival on January 18, 2014. It won the Special Jury Award for Cinematic Bravery at the festival. The film also premiered in-competition at the 64th Berlin International Film Festival on February 8, 2014. It won the Peace Film Award at the festival. The film later premiered at 43rd New Directors/New Films Festival on March 20, 2014.
