The 3D catalogue: film cases on wooden shelves, with the cat sitting at the counter next to its greeting.

The catalogue in 3D

The film shelves have a room of their own that you can walk around in. The cat behind the counter is the AI Catbot, and they pick real films from the same catalogue when you tell them what you feel like watching. Nothing is for sale, here or in there. Go in from here and this film is already out on the counter, with more like it waiting on the shelf next to it.

What happens

Appleseed Alpha (also styled as Appleseed α) is an animated military science fiction cyberpunk film. The English version's voice cast includes Luci Christian (Deunan Knute), David Matranga (Briareos) and Wendel Calvert (Two Horns). This film does not follow the previous Appleseed film canon; it is an alternate version of the story's origins. Briareos, for example, is already a cyborg and did not become separated from Deunan to be later reunited in Olympus to join ESWAT. A two-volume prequel manga by Iou Kuroda was published in Morning Two in 2014. It was announced on February 11, 2014, that Sony Pictures Worldwide and Lucent Pictures Entertainment would be making a new CG-animated film. Appleseed Alpha had an advance digital release on July 15, 2014. (from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA)
