Two brothers in Japan live separate lives. One is a struggling filmmaker in Tokyo who gets pulled into unexpected trouble after a bad job. The other runs a landscaping business in the countryside and decides to shut it down. Years later, a woman claiming to be the younger brother's girlfriend calls the older brother, saying the younger one has disappeared.
