League of Gods (Chinese: 3D封神榜) is a 2016 fantasy film directed by Koan Hui, co-produced by Charles Heung and Wilson Yip, based on the 16th-century novel Investiture of the Gods by Xu Zhonglin and starring an ensemble cast of Jet Li, Tony Leung, Fan Bingbing, Louis Koo, Mark Huang, Angelababy, Wen Zhang, Andy On and Jacky Heung. A Hong Kong-Chinese co-production, the film was released in China on 29 July 2016. Upon its release, the film received negative reviews from critics and was a box-office bomb. It won the Golden Broom Awards for Worst Film and was nominated for Worst Director. For her role as Lan Die in the film, Angelababy also won the Hong Kong Golden Plum Award for Worst Supporting Actress. Despite this, the film was nominated for Best Costume Make-up Design at the 36th Hong Kong Film Awards, but lost to The Monkey King 2. (from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA)
