The film stars Iko Uwais and Chelsea Islan, alongside Sunny Pang, Julie Estelle, David Hendrawan, Zack Lee, Very Tri Yulisman, Bront Palarae and Yayu Unru. The film revolves around a man with amnesia (Uwais), who sets out to protect the doctor who saved his life (Islan) from a crime syndicate and also uncover his past. Headshot premiered on September 9, 2016 at the Toronto International Film Festival and theatrically on December 8, 2016 in Indonesia.
