Elokuva perustuu Fox-televisiokanavalla esitettyyn Vitun puhelinmyyjät -tositelevisiosarjaan. Elokuvan maailmanensi-ilta oli Night Visions -elokuvafestivaaleilla 14. huhtikuuta 2016.
