What happens
Neomanila is a 2017 Philippine neo-noir thriller film directed and co-written by Mikhail Red. Set in modern Manila amid the war on drugs, it tells the story of Irma (Eula Valdez), a hitwoman who trains the young orphan Toto (Timothy Castillo) to become a professional assassin. It premiered at the 2017 Quezon City International Film Festival from October 20–28, before having a Philippine theatrical release on March 13, 2019.
