Jorge Camacho hadde originalideen til filmen og vant pitchekonkurransen under Kosmorama 2012 for den. Han skrev filmmanuset sammen med Andersen og Hilde Susan Jægtnes. Filmen er spilt inn i Norge og Colombia og delvis i Nederland. Kristoffer Joner spiller hovedrollen som Kjetil som etter konas død drar til Colombia for å finne foreldrene til adoptivsønnen Daniel, spilt av Kristoffer Bech. Filmen hadde premiere på norske kinoer 24. februar 2017. Kristoffer Joner vant Amandaprisen 2017 i klassen beste mannlige skuespiller mens Hilde Susan Jægtnes, Jorge Camacho og Arild Andresen var nominert i klassen beste filmmanus for filmen.
