How it feels

This documentary looks back at the first government of Mart Laari in Estonia from 1992 to 1994. It shows a group of young and mostly inexperienced politicians trying to rebuild the country after independence. What happens

"Rodeo" on 2017. aastal valminud tagasivaateline dokumentaalfilm Mart Laari esimesest valitsusest aastail 1992–1994. Filmi režissöörid on Kiur Aarma ja Raimo Jõerand, stsenarist Raimo Jõerand. See on avameelselt ja eneseiroonia kaudu esitatud, ajalooseikadel põhinev ning nüüd laiemalt oma ajastu massikultuuri konteksti asetatud film ka teistest noortest, enamasti kogemusteta poliitikutest äsja taasiseseisvunud Eestis. Riigi soov vabaneda okupatsiooniaja pärandist tegi Eestist välismaa silmis eduka üleminekuriigi musternäidise, ent kodumaal saatis Laari valitsust üks skandaal teise järel. Tekkinud konflikt aatemeeste ja pead tõstva uue majanduseliidi vahel tegi toonase peaministri rolli veelgi keerukamaks.
