Birds of Passage (Spanish: Pájaros de verano, lit. 'Summer Birds') is a 2018 epic crime film directed by Cristina Gallego and Ciro Guerra. The film explores the rise of a Wayuu man and his family as they enter the drug trade, prosper, and slowly lose their traditions and former way of life. It was selected to open the 50th edition of the Directors' Fortnight section at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival. The film was also selected as the Colombian entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 91st Academy Awards, making the December shortlist. (from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA)
