Äiti on vuonna 2019 ensi-iltansa saanut draamaelokuva, jonka on ohjannut Samppa Batal. Sen pääosaa näyttelee Jaana Saarinen. Elokuva kertoo miehensä murhasta tuomitusta Eevasta (Saarinen), joka elokuvan alussa vapautuu vankilasta ja palaa vanhalle kotiseudulleen löytääkseen aikuiseksi kasvaneen tyttärensä. Kotiseudulla elinkautiseen tuomittua paluumuuttajaa ei kuitenkaan oteta avosylin vastaan. Elokuva kuvattiin 16 päivän ajan kesällä 2018. Kuvauksia edelsi kuukauden mittainen harjoittelujakso. Ennen kuvauksia Saarinen ja ohjaaja Batal tutustuivat myös vankien oloihin ja kuulivat tositarinoita ja kokemuksia rikoksia tehneiltä.
