Initially released on January 6, 2020, as a web series on CW Seed, it was planned as a 12-episode run. However, after the first two episode aired, these plans were altered and the project was repurposed into a direct-to-video animated film titled Deathstroke: Knights & Dragons: The Movie, which was released digitally and on Blu-ray in August of the same year.
