Это второй полнометражный фильм режиссёра, чей дебют «Бык» получил Гран-при на «Кинотавре» в 2019 году, режиссер подчеркнул: Важно сказать, что для меня и «Бык», и «Кэт» — это такой диптих, двухарочная структура.
