The catalogue in 3D
The film shelves have a room of their own that you can walk around in. The cat behind the counter is the AI Catbot, and they pick real films from the same catalogue when you tell them what you feel like watching. Nothing is for sale, here or in there. Go in from here and this film is already out on the counter, with more like it waiting on the shelf next to it.
How it feels

What happens
"Jäätee veerel" on eesti 2023. aasta dokumentaalfilm, mis peegeldab inimeste soovi olla õnnelik kiiresti muutuvas maailmas, isegi kui see maailm on purunemas nagu kevadine jää. Film vaatleb Eesti rannarahva elu jäätee veerel Kreeka rännumehe Pythease silmade läbi 23 sajandit pärast tema külaskäiku Aestide maale. See minimalistlik ja poeetiline film on filmitud 16 mm filmilindile (Kodak) ja digitaalsete vahenditega (4K). Filmivõtted toimusid Prangli saarel, Noarootsis ja Haapsalus aastatel 2015–2022. Filmi „Jäätee veerel“ tootjad on Acuba Film (Eesti), Studio Beep (Tšehhi Vabariik), Ketvirta Versija (Leedu) ja Backmann & Hoderoff (Soome). Film valmis koostöös Pariisi filmikooli La Fémis programmiga Archidoc, toetajaks Euroopa Liidu Media programm. Filmi toetasid Eesti Kultuurkapital, Eesti Filmi Instituut ja Tšehhi Filmifond. Film oli valitud 2023. aastal Tallinna Pimedate Ööde filmifestivali Balti Filmi võistlusprogrammi ning 2022. aastal Karlovy Vary rahvusvahelise filmifestivali KVIFF programmi Eastern Promises Works in Progress.
