The catalogue in 3D

The film shelves have a room of their own that you can walk around in. The cat behind the counter is the AI Catbot, and they pick real films from the same catalogue when you tell them what you feel like watching. Nothing is for sale, here or in there. Go in from here and this film is already out on the counter, with more like it waiting on the shelf next to it.

How it feels

Set in a fictional Basque town during the 20th century, the film shows how Basque speakers were punished just for using their language. It combines five short stories into one feature, drawing from real events to depict the repression of Basque people and their language.

What happens

Bizkarsoro 2023ko Josu Martinez bilbotar zuzendariaren film dramatikoa da. Iparraldeko fikziozko herri batean kokatuta dago filma, XX. mendean, eta euskarak eta euskaldunek jasandako errepresioa du hizpide. Filma fikziozkoa izanik ere, benetako istorioak ekarri ditu Martinezek pantaila aurrera, kontatzen baitu nola zigortzen zituzten herritarrak, euskaraz hitz egite hutsagatik. Film hau, bost laburmetraiaz osaturiko luzemetraia da. (from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA)
