L'annuncio è avvenuto l'8 maggio 2021 durante una trasmissione speciale dedicata alla serie, seguito dal primo trailer il 1º gennaio 2024. Il film è uscito nelle sale giapponesi il 20 settembre 2024, con proiezioni IMAX a partire dal 13 settembre; in Italia è stato distribuito nelle sale da Yamato Video, in collaborazione con Nexo Studios, dal 9 all'11 dicembre 2024. Si tratta della trasposizione cinematografica dell'arco narrativo del Santo Regno (volumi 12 e 13 della light novel), ambientato tra il settimo e l'ottavo episodio della quarta stagione dell'anime.
