Den är regisserad av Ella Lemhagen efter ett manus av Malin Lagerlöf, och Gila Bergqvist Ulfung är producent. Filmen är inspirerad av Johanna Sjövalls P1-dokumentär Det illojala vårdbiträdet, efter undersköterskan Stine Christophersens avslöjanden om brister i vården på hennes arbetsplats.
