How it feels

This documentary follows the Cocama people of the Peruvian Amazon as they fight to protect the Marañón River which they believe is a living being inhabited by spirits called karuaras. It shows their traditions and their connection to the rainforest while condemning the cultural genocide they face.

Foi coproducido e protagonizado por Mari Luz Canaquiri, e narra, dende unha perspectiva espiritual e profunda, que o río Marañón é un ser vivo no que habitan os espíritos karuaras. O filme é unha denuncia do xenocidio cultural cocama e fai un chamamento á acción para salvar a Amazonía. Tamén convida a coñecer e comprender as tradicións e a conexión entre o pobo cocama e a selva.
