What happens
Sirāt is a 2025 drama road film directed by Óliver Laxe and co-written by Santiago Fillol and Laxe. It follows a father (Sergi López) in search of his missing daughter along with his son and a group of ravers in the deserts of southern Morocco. The film had its world premiere on 15 May 2025 in the main competition of the 78th Cannes Film Festival, where it won the Jury Prize. It was theatrically released in Spain on 6 June 2025 by BTeam Pictures, and in France on 10 September 2025 by Pyramide Films. It won Best Cinematography, Editing, Sound, Original Score, Production Supervision and Art Direction at the 40th Goya Awards.
