Se on suora jatko-osa vuoden 2024 Kyllä isä osaa -elokuvalle, joka perustui 1990-luvun samannimiseen televisiosarjaan. Elokuvan on käsikirjoittanut alkuperäisen televisiosarjan luonut Pekka Lepikkö. Elokuvassa vanhemmat, isä (Tom Lindholm) ja äiti (Tuija Ernamo), päättävät karata arjesta ja lähteä salaa Lappiin, kertomatta matkasta lapsilleen.
