Hangar rojo (internationaler englischsprachiger Titel The Red Hangar) ist ein Historienfilm, ein Filmdrama und das Spielfilmdebüt von Juan Pablo Sallato. Der in Schwarzweiß gedrehte Film mit Nicolás Zárate, Boris Quercia, Marcial Tagle, Catalina Stuardo und Aron Hernández basiert auf dem Buch Disparen a la bandada. Crónica secreta de los crímenes en la FACH contra Bachelet y otros von Fernando Villagrán. Die Hauptfigur Capitán Jorge Silva muss sich in der auf eine Nacht und einen Tag beschränkten Geschichte, den ersten Stunden des Militärputsches in Chile am 11. September 1973, zwischen militärischem Gehorsam, Loyalität und eigener Verantwortung entscheiden. Der Film wird aus der Binnenperspektive der chilenischen Luftwaffe erzählt, als eine Militärakademie zu einem Gefangenenlager wird. Die Koproduktion von Chile, Argentinien und Italien feierte im Februar 2026 bei den Internationalen Filmfestspielen in Berlin ihre Premiere und soll im Oktober 2026 in die chilenischen Kinos kommen.
