It stars Hannah Einbinder and Gillian Anderson, with Jack Haven and Patrick Fischler in supporting roles. The film follows a filmmaker (Einbinder) who is hired to direct a new installment of the slasher franchise Camp Miasma, and eventually becomes fixated on casting the actress (Anderson) who played the final girl in the original movie. The film had its world premiere on May 13 as the opening film of the Un Certain Regard section at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, where it won the Queer Palm.
