What happens
Die DNA des Ostens ist ein crossmediales Dokumentarprojekt, das sich mit den besonderen Prägungen und Erfahrungshorizonten ostdeutscher Generationen befasst. Ursprünglich vom Mitteldeutschen Rundfunk entwickelt, wurde das Projekt in den Jahren 2024/25 in enger Zusammenarbeit mit der Bundesstiftung zur Aufarbeitung der SED-Diktatur erweitert und am 11. September 2025 in Leipzig unter dem Titel „Identitäten ohne Mauern. Auf der Suche nach der DNA des Ostens“ veröffentlicht. Ziel des Projekts ist es, individuelle und kollektive Prägungen in Ostdeutschland nachzuvollziehen und dabei sowohl Unterschiede als auch verbindende Erfahrungen sichtbar zu machen.
