The Tycoon is an American sitcom television series that was broadcast by ABC. It starred Walter Brennan as a cantankerous tycoon and Van Williams as his young assistant. The series was broadcast Tuesday nights at 9:00 to 9:30 p.m., and lasted from September 15, 1964 until September 7, 1965. Van Williams was signed to the series to provide the romantic interest, and he took the part to learn comedy.
