A young sailor named Edmond Dantes is wrongly imprisoned for a crime he did not commit. After years in prison, he escapes and uses a hidden treasure to reinvent himself as the wealthy Count of Monte Cristo. He then sets out to systematically punish those who betrayed him.

Greven av Monte Cristo er en norsk miniserie på fire episoder som gikk NRK Fjernsynet i 1965. Serien ble produsert av NRK Ungdomsavdelingen og var basert på Alexandre Dumas' kjente roman med samme tittel fra 1844. Hovedrollen som Edmond Dantès spilles av Knut Risan, mens Sven Lange var ansvarlig for manus og musikk. Lauritz Johnson, som var leder for Ungdomsavdelingen, var også en av ildsjelene bak produksjonen. Serien er innspilt i sort-hvitt. Serien ble sendt i reprise i 1971 og 1986.
