Diretto da Daniele D'Anza, lo sceneggiato è ispirato alla vita dell'inventore italiano Antonio Meucci e alle vicende giudiziarie che negli Stati Uniti lo opposero allo scozzese Bell per il riconoscimento della paternità dell'invenzione del telefono.
