How it feels
In Taisho era Tokyo, a 17-year-old tomboy named Benio challenges traditional gender roles by studying kendo and wearing Western clothes. She rejects arranged marriage and fights for women's rights alongside her more feminine friend Tamaki and a kabuki actor friend. The series follows her adventures as she pursues love and independence.
