Children of Fire Mountain is a 13-part miniseries from New Zealand made in 1979 for South Pacific Television (now known as TVNZ 2). That year it received the Feltex Television Awards for "Best Drama", "Best Script", and Terence Cooper as "Best Actor" for his role as Sir Charles Pemberton. In the United Kingdom, it was shown on BBC1 three times between 3 March 1981 to 26 May 1981, 1 June 1984 to 24 August 1984 and 5 October 1985 to 28 December 1985. It was also shown on Channel 4 between 9 April 1989 to 2 July 1989. This series was also broadcast in Czechoslovakia, where it was dubbed into both the Czech language and the Slovak language.
