This 1987 film uses interviews and archival footage to look back at Formula One racing. It starts with a 1987 interview with Niki Lauda at the San Marino Grand Prix, then goes back to his 1975 championship win and his near-fatal crash at the 1976 German Grand Prix. The movie mixes these historical stories with interviews of other racers and glimpses of the late 1980s F1 scene, including the rise of turbo engines and Japanese investment.
