The 3D catalogue: film cases on wooden shelves, with the cat sitting at the counter next to its greeting.

The catalogue in 3D

The film shelves have a room of their own that you can walk around in. The cat behind the counter is the AI Catbot, and they pick real films from the same catalogue when you tell them what you feel like watching. Nothing is for sale, here or in there. Go in from here and this series is already out on the counter, with more like it waiting on the shelf next to it.

How it feels

This Canadian sitcom follows the eccentric Edison family living in a mansion full of odd gadgets and experiments. The show mixes domestic comedy with sci-fi touches like a flying saucer in the backyard.

What happens

Maniac Mansion is a sitcom co-created by Eugene Levy that aired concurrently on YTV in Canada and The Family Channel in the United States for three seasons from September 14, 1990, to April 4, 1993. The series is loosely based on the 1987 video game of the same name by Lucasfilm Games. While Lucasfilm themselves served as co-producers on the series, the show thematically has little in common with its source material. (from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA)
