《애드버킷》은 1998년 11월 9일부터 1998년 12월 28일까지 방송했던 MBC 월화 드라마였는데 지나친 폭력적인 장면 때문에 방송위원회로부터 제재를 받았는데 4 ~ 5, 8회는 경고, 4회는 연출자에 대한 경고, 11회는 주의 조치를 받았다. 한편, 캐스팅 문제로 골머리를 썩였는데 당초 이승연, 배용준, 김현주 등이 물망에 올랐으나 영화 촬영 등의 이런저런 이유로 고사하자 설득 끝에 이영애, 손창민, 전광렬, 송윤아 등을 캐스팅했고 이 과정에서 《변호사》라는 제목이 거론된 것이 《애드버킷》으로 변경됐고 1998년 12월 29일 코미디 대상 연말 특집 방송 관계로 1998년 12월 28일에 15 ~ 16회 연속 방송됐다.
