How it feels

A young boy named Hikaru discovers an old Go board haunted by the ghost of a master player from centuries ago. The ghost begins to teach Hikaru the game, and Hikaru slowly grows from a casual player into a serious competitor. The story follows his journey through school tournaments and his deepening friendship and rivalry with other young players.

《棋魂》（日語：ヒカルの碁），台灣舊譯“棋灵王”，而電視動畫在臺灣播出仍沿用“棋灵王”片名）由堀田由美負責原作，漫畫由小畑健繪製的日本漫畫作品。於集英社漫畫雜誌《週刊少年JUMP》1999年2、3合并号至2003年33号期間進行連載。單行本全23卷。該作品曾获得2000年第45届小学馆漫画赏 、2003年第7届手冢治虫文化奖新生奖。 2001年改編為电视动画，由東京電視台、電通及Studio Pierrot共同製作，並於東京電視台系列（TXN）播放，分為兩輯，總共75集。另外，2004年1月3日日本播出特別篇OVA《棋魂Special：邁向北斗盃之路》，香港於2004年3月首播、2006年4月重播。动画未涉及原著中北斗盃三国对战的剧情，仅点到北斗盃日本预选赛为止。 (from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA)
