Aşk-ı Memnu (transl. 'The Forbidden Love' Turkish pronunciation: [ˈaʃkɯ memˈnu:]) is a Turkish romantic drama television series aired on Kanal D from 2008 to 2010. A modern adaptation of Halit Ziya Uşaklıgil's 1899 novel of the same name, Aşk-ı Memnu follows the love triangle story of Adnan Ziyagil (Selçuk Yöntem), a wealthy businessman in Istanbul’s high society, his younger lover Bihter Yöreoğlu (Beren Saat), and his nephew, Behlül Haznedar (Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ), who falls in love with Bihter.
