The 3D catalogue: film cases on wooden shelves, with the cat sitting at the counter next to its greeting.

The catalogue in 3D

The film shelves have a room of their own that you can walk around in. The cat behind the counter is the AI Catbot, and they pick real films from the same catalogue when you tell them what you feel like watching. Nothing is for sale, here or in there. Go in from here and this series is already out on the counter, with more like it waiting on the shelf next to it.

How it feels

Three coworkers at a remote hotel in a sparsely populated region of Iceland return for a second series. They handle the oddities of their daily shifts and interact with each other in a deadpan style.

What happens

Dagvaktin (English: The Day Shift) is a sequel to the Icelandic television series Næturvaktin. It is the second of the three series in the trilogy. The three main characters from Næturvaktin, Georg Bjarnfreðarson (Jón Gnarr), Ólafur Ragnar (Pétur Jóhann Sigfússon) and Daníel (Jörundur Ragnarsson), all return to work at a hotel in the sparsely populated Westfjords (near Reykhólar). It was first broadcast on Stöð 2 on 21 September 2008, and was subsequently released on DVD. (from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA)
