How it feels
This Finnish reality series follows the daily life of the Mikkonen family. The show had an unusual start where viewers voted by text message on whether to air the full season after a pilot episode. It only lasted one season in 2009, as viewership dropped quickly.

What happens
Mikkosten maailma oli Nelosella esitetty tositelevisiosarja, jossa seurattiin Nina ja Timo T.A. Mikkosen perheen arkea. Sarja avautui Suomen televisiohistoriassa poikkeuksellisesti siten, että katsojat saivat päättää ensimmäisen pilottijakson 8. maaliskuuta 2009 jälkeen tekstiviestiäänestyksellä esitetäänkö sarja kokonaisuudessaan. Myönteinen tulos julkistettiin 12. maaliskuuta suorassa Maria!-ohjelman lähetyksessä. Mikkosten Maailma lopetettiin toukokuussa 2009. Ohjelma katsojaluvut putosivat nopeasti alun runsaasta 300 000 katsojasta alle puoleen. Nelosen mukaan sarjasta ei ollut alun perin tarkoituskaan tehdä pitkäikäistä, mutta silti alhaiset katsojaluvut olivat pettymys. Myöhemmin selvisi, että ohjelman jatkamisen puolesta tulleet äänet tulivat vain muutamasta puhelinliittymästä. Vuoden 2010 alussa sarja julkaistiin DVD:nä. (from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA)
