Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan (How Is This Friendship) is an Indian television series that premiered on MTV India on 21 July 2014. It was very loosely inspired by the Korean drama Boys Over Flowers. Its first two seasons were highly successful, after which the show was cancelled as several cast members left to pursue other acting opportunities and projects. Due to overwhelming popular demand, the series was later revived, continuining for three additional seasons. Seasons 3 and 4 debuted on Voot in May 2018 and December 2022, respectively. The fifth season premiered on JioCinema on 2 September 2023. Over the years, Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan has remained an iconic series with a dedicated cult following, and is widely regarded as one of the most popular Indian youth dramas. It continues to enjoy an exceptionally active online fandom and maintains remarkable virality to this day, reflecting its enduring popularity years after its original broadcast.
