Two friends from a hunters' brotherhood both fall in love with the same woman. One pushes the other into a well and tells the village he died while hunting. Months later the friend returns with a group of religious people but with amnesia, and the man who betrayed him starts to lose his mind.

What happens

Le Poids du serment est un film burkinabè réalisé par Kollo Daniel Sanou, sorti en 2009 Sibiri et Nyama deux amis membres de la confrérie des chasseurs Dozos. Ils tombent tous deux sous le charme de Sarah. Par amour, Sibiri propulse son ami dans un puits et annonce sa mort au village comme étant survenue au cours d’une partie de chasse. Plusieurs mois plus tard, Nyama revient au village en compagnie d’un groupe de religieux, mais amnésique. Sibiri qui le croyait mort, devient fou. Nyama retrouve la mémoire.
