Loving Her ist die erste Serie im deutschen Fernsehen, die von lesbischen Beziehungen handelt und die im linearen Fernsehen zu sehen war. Banafshe Hourmazdi spielt die Hauptrolle in der von MadeFor Film für ZDFneo als Instant Fiction produzierten Dramaserie, die mit Elementen von romantischer Komödie und Coming of Age eine weibliche queere Gegenwarts­perspektive mit Anspruch an Authentizität abbildet.
