Es una historia original de Delia Fiallo, adaptación de la telenovela venezolana de 1978 María del Mar producida por Venevisión. Protagonizada por Zuria Vega y Mario Cimarro, junto con Ninel Conde, Marcelo Córdoba, Manuel Landeta y Mariana Seoane en los roles antagónicos.
