This is a TV competition where ordinary Iranian people perform stand-up comedy routines. The show searches for talented new comedians from the general public, unlike a previous season which featured famous actors and comedians.

خنداننده شو مسابقهایست به سازندگی مهرداد علاقمند در برنامهٔ تلویزیونی خندوانه است که به معرفی استندآپ کمدینهای جوان و با استعداد ایرانی میپردازد. این مسابقه برای انتخاب بهترین خنداننده از میان مردم برگزار میشود و تفاوت آن با مسابقه «خنداننده برتر» که در فصل دو این برنامه اجرا شد این است که شرکتکنندگان مسابقه خنداننده برتر از میان هنرپیشگان و کمدینهای مشهور سینما و تلویزیون بودند ولی «خنداننده شو» شرکتکنندگان را از میان مردم عادی انتخاب میکند.
