How it feels
The series follows the Lehtonen family who own a shoe factory in southern Finland during the 2010s. It starts with the Marminen working class family and later brings in social and political themes about the future of Finnish industry.

What happens
Tehdas on suomalainen televisiosarja, jonka on käsikirjoittanut Pirkko Saisio. Sarja kertoo Lehtosen perheen omistamasta kenkätehtaasta 2010-luvun Etelä-Suomessa. Sarja rakentuu kolmesta kuusiosaisesta tuotantokaudesta, joista kaksi kautta esitettiin Ylen TV2:ssa keväällä 2012 ja kolmas esitettiin syksyllä 2014. Sarjan alkujaksot kertovat Marmisen työläisperheestä. Myöhemmin sarja saa yhteiskunnallisia sävyjä. Ensimmäinen kausi kertoo menestyvästä tehtaasta ja toisella kaudella tehdas kohtaa vaikeuksia.
