How it feels
Set in Damascus between 1743 and 1749, the series follows a bitter struggle between informal Yerliye forces backed by local elites and the formal Dalatiye forces supported by the governor and Janissaries. Its story is drawn from the writings of al-Budayri the barber who lived through that era.
