This is a TV game show about general knowledge. An Arab host presents many facts in a fun but serious way. The show originally aired in the 1980s on Saudi television and later became famous across the Arab world through satellite TV.

بنك المعلومات هو برنامج مسابقات تلفزيوني يُعنى بالمعلومات العامة، من إعداد وتقديم الإعلامي الأردني الدكتور الراحل عمر الخطيب، الذي قدم ولسنوات وجبات دسمة من المعلومات بقالب ترفيهي وتفاعلي لا يخلو من الجدية والرزانة، بدأ إنتاج البرنامج وعرضه في منتصف ثمانينيات القرن العشرين على شاشة التلفزيون السعودي، حيث قُدّم منه موسمان برعاية البنك الأهلي السعودي، وقد تم مؤخراً إعادة بث هذه الحلقات عبر قناة ذكريات. وفي عام 1994 أُعيد إنتاجه وتقديمه بصيغة مجددة ومطورة على شبكة راديو وتلفزيون العرب (ART)، ليحقق شهرة عربية وإقليمية واسعة عبر البث الفضائي، بعد النجاح الذي حققه محلياً عبر البث الأرضي للتلفزيون السعودي.
