How it feels
This is a short silent comedy from 1909. It shows literal interpretations of wordplay phrases, like a person physically wrestling with himself after a caption says he struggled with himself. The filmmakers found the results unsuccessful and abandoned the idea.

What happens
«Игра слов» — немая комедия 1909 года. В поисках несложных, но забавных сюжетов мы произвели несколько съёмок на тему «Игра слов». Существо картины было в комичной расшифровке надписи. Например, после надписи «он изо всех сил боролся сам с собой» следовала сценка, изображавшая физическую борьбу человека с собою, по всем правилам французской борьбы, включительно до «тур-де-тета».
