How it feels
Set in early 1900s China during the Eight-Power Allied Forces invasion, the emperor and empress dowager flee to Xi An. There the empress dowager meets a woman named Si Qin who resembles the emperor's favorite concubine. Si Qin is engaged to Chen Ran but has an affair with powerful officer Han Yu Xuan. Han Yu Xuan schemes to send Chen Ran abroad, unaware that Si Qin is pregnant with Chen Ran's child. Later, Han Yu Xuan betroths his daughter to Chen Ran's younger brother, but she falls for Chen Ran instead.
