How it feels
In 2020, middle and high school students in three parts of Japan, their activities limited by the pandemic, start an online competition to observe stars at the same time. They work together across distances to catch sight of constellations.

『この夏の星を見る』（このなつのほしをみる）は、辻村深月による日本の小説。コロナ禍で様々な活動が制限されてしまった2020年の中高生たちを描いた青春小説で、新型コロナウイルスの蔓延によって活動が制限される中、茨城県、東京都、長崎県五島列島の中高生がオンラインで同時に天体観測をする競技「スターキャッチコンテスト」を始める姿を描いている。 『北海道新聞』『東京新聞』『中日新聞』『西日本新聞』『河北新報』『山梨日日新聞』の各誌に2021年6月から2022年11月まで順次連載された後、2023年6月30日にKADOKAWAから単行本化され、2025年6月17日に同社から上下巻で角川文庫化された。 2025年に映画版が公開された。 (from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA)
