Filmens hovedroller spilles af Valdemar Psilander og Ellen Aggerholm. Filmen havde dansk premiere den 30. juni 1913 i Panoptikon Teatret og blev i tysktalende lande distribueret som Um hohen Preis, i engelsktalende lande som A Dash For Liberty og i fransktalende lande som Un saut manqué.
